Over the last few months, you have heard members of the National Philanthropy Group (NPG) and the Marketing & Communications (M&C) teams make reference to upcoming events being planned for our next fiscal year. So, as FY23 nears a close, it is a perfect time to give a little more detail on the FY24 event plan!
In the coming fiscal year, there will be 4 event types, each with a unique focus.
- “Watershed Weekend”—This is the “immersive weekend” fundraising event scheduled for May 2024 that you will hear more about in the coming months.
- “One Church”—The first of these events was held in June in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia and based on the Genius of One content that has been so successful in recent years. It featured board member Greg Holder from The Crossing and Mike Mantel. There will be more One Church events in FY24, so stay tuned to hear more about these events!
- Regional Events—Regional events are localized fundraising events that individual NPG reps can organize around an annual theme leading to a consistent “branded” experience from event to event throughout the year.
- Church/Pastor Events – Executed by the church mobilization team, these pastor and church leadership events will also be “branded” around an annual theme and designed to deepen and grow our relationships with partnering and co-laboring churches.
You may have noticed that the regional events and church events described above did not get an official name—not until now!
The M&C team is excited to share the event themes for FY24 Regional and Church events as shown below. The themes are intended to complement one another but allow for unique messaging crafted for the specific audiences who will be attending these events.
You will hear more about specific events as they are unfolding, but we invite you to begin praying now for those who will attend these events, and for the efforts of the NPG and M&C teams to plan, organize, and publicize these events in the coming fiscal year!
