Living Water Family,
We have some exciting news as the Funding Model initiative that has been in process since January is now live! Many thanks to all in the organization that worked on this to bring it to fruition. It was truly a full organizational effort!
The overarching goal is to connect our supporters more directly to the work, both financially and as overall advocates for the thirsty. As supporters deepen their engagement, more of our thirsty global neighbors will be served with safe, accessible water while also hearing the Good News of the gospel. We reimagine every supporter feeling directly connected to the people we serve, regardless of size or type of investment. We also believe that given clear and simple opportunities, our supporters will be inspired to support the work at ever increasing levels.
We have spent a lot of time over this last year interviewing supporters and friends, sending surveys, gathering feedback and suggestions, and taking to heart what these supporters shared with us. They affirmed our mission to pursue the physical, spiritual, and social flourishing of all people who lack safe water, sanitation and hygiene services, and access to the gospel. They understand that holistic transformation and social flourishing of all are important missional components, as is the importance of working in and through local churches.
This funding model allows supporters sponsorship opportunities to direct funds towards a unique community project, a bundle of projects, a higher impact piped system serving larger populations, or a particular WPA. Collective Impact piped systems allow funding of any level to be directed towards a crowd funded system.
As we push for $30mm for Mission, these funding offerings support and advance the Overflow25 Guiding Positions, particularly around GP3 “Deepen the engagement between supporters and communities” and GP4 “Grow mission-aligned private funding to innovate”.
