On November 13-15, 2023, Christ Community Church (CCC) worked with Living Water International Sierra Leone (LWISL) for a transformative mission trip to Sierra Leone. With 18 CCC guests, LWISL staff, and New Harvest Global Ministries (NGHM) volunteers in attendance, the trip aimed to assess LWISL’s WASH projects, engage with local pastors, and identify future collaborative opportunities.

Many lives were transformed during the impactful devotions and the team was moved as they witnessed members of the community giving their lives to Jesus. It was interesting to explore the rich and diverse cultures while connecting to the excitement and resilience of the communities despite the challenges they undergo.
The team was also engaged in enriching activities such as water drilling and pump installation exercises, WASH training, and orality training at the Komende and Bandajuma communities.
The installation of a water pump at Bandajuma marked a significant breakthrough.

LWI Sierra Leone’s holistic WASH implementation left a positive impact, encouraging sustained efforts in inclusive community development beyond physical interventions. The success of field activities was attributed to proper planning, reinforcing the commitment to maintaining this approach for future trips. CCC and LWISL remain dedicated to continuing the partnership and making a lasting impact on communities in Sierra Leone.
*Special appreciation to all LWI Sierra Leone staff led by Country Director, Rosemarie Blake, for being excellent hosts to the guests from Christ Community Church (CCC).
