The Africa region has always been passionate about growing the leadership capacities of all staff with the aim of ensuring that the goals of the region align with the larger vision of the organization. All staff in the 9 countries in Africa have undergone leadership courses conducted by the Regional Vice President for Africa, Dr. Victor Madziakapita, who uses his extensive knowledge and experience in leadership to conduct the training. Through Bible expositions, the participants expound on leadership lessons by looking at the lives of some leaders that were used by God. They are always excited with the unique approach of the training because it demands the transformation of individuals and challenges them to be committed to their work.

After the training, the team gave thanks for the faithfulness of God during all the sessions and prayed over all the plans of the country office and the organization. The prayers were led by the Regional HR Manager, Fridah Kirimi.
On November 23, after the leadership training, the regional team and some representative staff of Zambia country office visited a water project in Kalebuka Primary School, which has 963 students from Preschool to Senior Secondary School. The upgrade of the project was constructed and commissioned in the fourth quarter of FY24 and caters to 5,680 beneficiaries.
The school management, led by the headmaster, expressed their gratitude to Living Water International, Zambia for providing water in the school and the surrounding community. In her poem and speech, the Head Girl expresses the deepest appreciation of the school by saying the girls’ hygiene has improved because they can now bathe daily, are motivated to go to school, and the students will soon be planting some crops in the school garden.
