The San Baltazar Chichicapa community is a fast-growing town in southern Mexico. As the population increased, the government-supplied tap stands couldn’t keep up with the demand for water. With over one thousand people using the same water source, supply dwindled until residents could only access the tap for 30 minutes once a week.
