In Noungou, a water crisis plagued the community. Initially, Noungou’s 1,800 residents had to walk over five kilometers to collect water from the nearest well. These wells were old, and the water was typically unreliable and unsafe. Community members suffered from illnesses caused by waterborne diseases, disrupting their daily routines.
