Ma Garmah Teah, a 74-year-old widow, has lived in the Glenyluu Zone 4 community in Liberia for decades. Her life has been marked by significant challenges. Her late husband, a soldier in the national army, was forced into exile during a political coup attempt in 1985. He was later killed by rebel forces during the civil war in 1990. For many years she and her children lived in Guinea as refugees until they were able to safely return to their home country.
