In Zimbabwe’s Macherenje and Kwanatsa Community, residents grappled with a heartbreaking water crisis. Without water, the residents’ quality of life dwindled. The water crisis robbed them of their time, health, and peace. Community members, namely women and children, had to endure a daily journey of two and a half miles in the heat to collect safe water from a hand pump well in a neighboring community. [read more]
